Biography

Megan Sheldon received her PhD in 2015 from the University of Kansas with honors. Before returning to KU as a Lecturer, she taught at Colby College and University of Puget Sound.  At KU, she has taught at all levels of the curriculum and independently acts as the coordinator for all of her own upper-division course sections (340, 346, 424, 428, 446).  Her research is broadly focused on contemporary Spanish narrative and film, queer theory, feminism and gender studies.  Her articles on contemporary Spanish queer fiction have appeared in Studies in 20th and 21st Century Literature and Hispanófila.  She is currently working on several projects exploring the representation of gender and sexuality in Spanish cultural production of the new millennium.
