Biography —
Cesia Espinal-Moncada is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese. She obtained her B.A. in Spanish Language Teaching from Universidad Pedagogica Nacional Francisco Morazán (UPNFM) of Tegucigalpa, Honduras in 2018 with a Cum Laude distinction. Her work experience has been in Spanish-language and literature teaching in middle and high schools of Honduras.
She is currently in a research project focused on the biography of Argentina Diaz Lozano, a Honduran woman writer, journalist, diplomatic and feminist of the 19th century. Her research interests are, but not limited to, cultural studies, modern and contemporary Latin America literature, film, and music.
