Biography

Davilyn is a Ph.D. student in the department of Spanish and Portuguese. She received her B.A. in Spanish from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in 2021, and an M.A. in Spanish from the University of Kansas in 2023. Her research interests include Mexican and Border literature topics, focusing on themes such as historical displacement, portrayal, and progression of feminine and queer subjects, and the complex intersectional identities that arise within populations with mixed cultural heritage when territories create divisive boundaries.
