Spring 2020 Grading Option in response to COVID-19
On March 30, 2020, the Provost’s Office announced temporary changes grading policy and course completion for Spring 2020. These adjustments were made to provide some relief to the challenges brought upon COVID-19. Please review the Student Guide to Credit/No Credit, Incompletes and Withdraw for Spring 2020.pdf. This guide is to be used for the Spring 2020 semester only.
Students can elect to take courses on a credit/no credit basis and must do so by 11:59 PM CT, April 17, 2020. Submit your credit/no credit option here. This decision must be made by individual students; credit/no credit grading cannot be applied to all students in a course by an instructor. Instructors are not notified of your choice to elect credit/no-credit for their course. Students also have the option to withdraw from a class for the Spring 2020 semester. This deadline has been extended through May 4, 2020.
The Department of Spanish & Portuguese supports all students in their grading choice. We encourage you to consult with your current Spanish and Portuguese instructor or our department's Undergraduate Academic Advisor, Melissa Foree, before selecting credit/no credit, dropping a course or withdrawing from the semester altogether. Rock Chalk, Jayhawk, and be well.
