Guillermina Laura Peña is a PhD student in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese. She received her BA from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, and her MA from the University of Arkansas. Her research focuses on the symbolic representations of the Mesoamerican practice of “nahualismo” in the literary and visual work of Mexican female creators. Her study explores the "nahualismo" techniques through which each creator cannibalizes Mesoamerican/Western cultures. Office hours:  M 1:00 - 4:00pm
